Walnut stock with buttplate for Stevens 12 Ga. model 311 double barreled shotgun. Provides an economical means of breathing new life into proud old guns. For the sake of historical accuracy and nostalgia such guns engender, the dimensions and shape of these stocks are kept as close to those of the originals as possible. Matching walnut forearm sold separately. A few coats of Linseed oil with 000 steel wool or scotchbrite used between coats produces a beautiful finished stock. This is a Type 2 stock. To figure out which stock you need, measure the upper tang (the metal that protrudes over the stock). If 3 1/8 in, you have a type 1. If 3 1/4 in, you have a type 2.
